The brief was to increase the living space for a growing young family. The extension contemplates the partial demolition of the west side of the house, just to be replaced by bigger kitchen/living/dining and new entrance. Upstairs the house unfolds tree sumptuous bedrooms, two large bath, study and a vast terrace to experience the golden sunsets of the Queensland summer.

When it comes to the form, the addition follows the strong triangular shape the existing house has, complementing it without challenging the roots of the old house.
